Paul helped us find a rental here this summer for a few months to explore the area for possible relocation from Minnesota since we are retired. He was great at spending time familiarizing us with the single-family housing market meeting all of our criteria and identifying neighborhoods for us to check out. Once he got to know our needs and desires he was able to pinpoint and narrow the neighborhoods to 4 perfect for us. We decided to take the plunge after we went back to Minnesota and had to rely on Paul’s local expertise and knowledge of our needs to identify specific listings to meet those needs. It worked out really well with us being in Minnesota and having to review a property here in Bellingham! Paul knew exactly what we wanted and only sent us listings he knew would work for us. A great tool Paul uses for out-of-town buyers is video tour of the house. This gives you a much greater sense of the interior, exterior and street than listing photos. Additionally, Paul gives you his honest perspective of the property and his valuable real estate insight and local insight of the market against all of parameters you’ve given him. This tool was invaluable to us. It’s expensive to hop on a flight at the last minute to look at a home so you had better be certain you want to look at it closely to place an offer and this video service along with Paul’s attention to detail relative to your wish list and needs makes doing so effortless. We had the confidence in making those flight reservations and boarding that plane that we were doing the right thing. Additionally, Paul navigated all of the local transactions with ease and all of the back-and-forth questions and communications. Not everything is the same between states, so we had many questions which he readily answered for us. We had many other questions too just about living in Bellingham which he graciously took and was always very helpful in answering. Coming to a new state and city without knowing a single person can be a bit daunting—-where to start? He had great tips of all sorts. But primarily we needed an ace in our corner to get the business of buying a house and finding a good inspector and so on and Paul was more than very skillful in getting it done. On top of that, he has a great attitude too! He’s very friendly and pleasant to work with! Very easy-going, thoughtful and cheerful. We also appreciated his straightforward and honest nature. We would certainly recommend Paul to anyone!
